At my string studio, you’ve come to the right place for every bowed string instrument. Whether you’re a beginner looking to hire an instrument or an advanced player looking for a custom-made instrument, I invite you to contact me to discuss your wishes. I specialise in building cellos and double basses and repairing every kind of bowed instrument.

Bowed instruments rental

On April 19, 2018, I had the opportunity to take over Bert Boon’s bowed instrument rental service and I am thrilled to take up this new endeavour. As of now, all rental contracts have been transferred and all servicing, exchange or returning of rented instruments will be handled by me. The conditions of your contract remain the same and I will continue the level of expertise and service that all clients were accustomed to from Bert Boon.

Repair

I have ample experience with all sorts of repairs on all bowed instruments and particularly the double bass as I am a double bass player myself. Setting up a double bass is a very particular job. All too often I come across instruments that are very hard to play or that don’t sound very good. For both beginner and the professional player a properly set up instrument is crucial. You’ll enjoy playing and progress more quickly. It is my mission to get the absolute best out of your instrument.

Enter the last door rolling door at no. 7L. Inside the woodwork shop, go right up the stairs up to the gallery. Free parking right outside the door.
